Editorial / Freelance

Prior to starting my career in higher education, I worked as a writer and editor. The most significant achievement of my career in this field was co-founding the online magazine Mocha Dreams. The magazine was founded with the vision of celebrating the beauty and culture of people of color. It was one of the few truly inclusive online magazines of its kind when it launched in 1999. It included feature articles, entertainment reviews, interviews, and pictorials of diverse artists, models, and entertainers from around the world.

In addition to my academic work, I  continue to work as a freelance editor and writer.

My most recent editorial pieces were written for HotFoot Magazine and The Stage UK.
